The video I linked seems to give some interesting perspective on the Finno-Ugric peoples as they spread through Eurasia. The fact that they excelled in Bronze-work makes more sense to those on this Forum who will have heard how the Frya's had Iron even in the so called bronze age, wheras Finda's folk had only flint and copper(The main ingredient in "Bronze" for Indo-Iranic people).
Most of the dates match, though the invasion of East Skeanland would be dated later in this model.

The gap between the Sami, Finns, Estonians to the west and their distant Siberian cousins to the east fits the OLB narrative that the Finns were pushed out by another people (ch. 50.19), the latter being the Magyars probably arriving after a long travel from the Altai Mountains, same origin of the Moghuls/Mongols and the shamanic priest people who dominated the Indians (ch. 163.10). I have mentioned this in previous posts, most recently this. Thus the linguistic gap in Eastern Europe was created by these early Magyars.

Slightly related: Slavic languages may come from the melting pot of Finns, Magyars and Fryas, i.e. Swedish settlers from Roslagen. Before that, Slavs as we know them today did not exist. Maybe Gosa's letter about purity of language (ch. 157.32) is a comment on the early Slavs where they had not yet solidified into a distinct group and still spoke a mix of Finnish, Magyarish and Fryas; a form of Proto-Slavic. Just a theory.

Also slightly related: I think that Aldland is a generic term for “ancestral lands”. Thus when the OLB Findas migrated from Aldland (ch. 21.15), and when the Fryas also migrated from the sunken Aldland (ch. 49.11), it means that they each fled from the destroyed parts of their homelands in response to the 4.2 ka event. The Finda homeland in this case would be the Altai Mountains (or Central Asia, in a broader sense). The Frya homeland would be Europe and possibly the island of Frisland seen on ancient maps, which Alewyn J. Raubenheimer talks about in Chronicles From Pre-Celtic Europe. When the Fryas say that the Finda Aldland lies under the sea, they probably assumed that the Findas also suffered from earthquakes and floods the same way the Frya homeland did.

I still haven't read Chronicles From Pre-Celtic Europe., but now that I've been saving I should go ahead. I'm still not sold on this "Atland being the homeland of Fryas", but i might as well hear the late writer and what he has to say.
