The top one is quite iconic, Kraftr ; The mood is quite striking. I like the craft that has gone into the sketching and livelieness of the warriors and steersmen as well, though I might say as a fellow sketcher that the height falls shy of matching the width of the sketches, a thorn in the side of my own drawings. Often I rush to the finer details myself, before I get a good look at whether or not the rough sketch is sound in its measurements. I suppose one would draw an allusion to a garden gnome, but I wish to be helpful in fair critique and should fear that my humour would be lost by virtue of the lack tone in internet speech.
It's great to have a fellow sketcher here, as the OLB has fed my own imagination quite a lot.

Re: Drawings
Yes most of these drawings are just things I made for myself to visualise my enthousiasm or just play with the pencil, and indeed a lot is tecnically not great. Still, I’m kind of in love with them, just for the feelings. I posted them because I realised I didnt know enough about the way things would have looked, clothes, buildingtech, symbols etc, so I never could progress to painting or carving. Which also have been a while since I did them. I’m still new to precristian europe and ‘paganism’. And your critique and learning is what I’m doing this for, so much apreciated, also would love to see your work.

The top one reminds me of a (young version) of a Skipper friend in Franeker. I'll have to get him to wear a phrygian cap and take a photo to compare!!
