Finally I have a somewhat working computer again, so I’m posting the scribbling I’ve done with the suggestions in mind.
Most of it is still just trying out, or a fast idea

I love the concept of the last one of Frya, as well as the idea for Kelta. The rooster in the background is great.

Great work, Kraftr. You are clearly making progress.
The one of Friso's children is particularly touching. I had never visualized that scene myself.

Thanks guys. Allmost everything is just ideas, getting a feel for how I could make it into a definitive print or painting or pencildrawing. Somebody said something about my skill with the human form in an earlier drawing so I’m refreshing my skills on it. And I now I search for the most dramatic scenes in the story, that can be shown by human figures.
For Kelta it made me realise that the studies in ‘witchcraft’ she got was a sort of mediatraining avant-la lettre, and the spear and climbing on a horse was just good showmanship, like a rockstar. Cocky, as per the text. That’s why I also want to show her as sexy, because she also used her attractiveness.
Butt I thrive on and like to get challenged by critisism and other feedback, like the remark about my drawing of human figures. So be specific about what you love or don’t agree with(like, what are good clothes/attributes of Freya, or I should just finish one of them already), it will push the best out of me.
Jan, I would love to co-operate like someone proposed, like make coverart, or sell through your portal, but I am actually still too awestruck by the manuscript and humbled by all I don’t know or am, so untill it reaches a quality level I’m comfortable with for posterity and forebears I don’t feel like ‘the’ illustrator, just rekindling my artistry.

I like your reasoning. Indeed, this was one of the scenes I first thought of visualizing, years ago, when I challenged someone else to draw a sketch. The (black) witchcraft (not to be confused with what people were accused of in more recent ages, as an excuse to murder them) will have included use of entheogens to influence consciousness of victims, without them knowing: TÁWER.KRÛDON,
magic herbs (055), TÁWER.DRANK,
magic potion (064).
[063/15] STOLKES LÉT HJU MÁGJARA TO HJRI KVMA VMBE
TÁWERY TO LÉRANE.
Secretly, she invited Magyars to come and teach her sorcery. (
ch. 9a)

That sounds great, Kraftr. I can see that happen in the future.
As for the practical work of the OL-Foundation, it will need more volunteers, perhaps an editorial committee, or an existing publishing house (that does not merely see the book as a cashcow) to do much of the work, as I feel less able to make the efforts of the previous releases. My creative impulse/motivation now mostly lies at making the original language more transparent, so I can more easily teach it to others and write/speak it myself — bring it back to life. The thought of having to create layout/design for a new book, making deals with printer/binder, processing orders, managing financial administration and shipping frightens me. Yet, I am satisfied that thus far I did not have to associate with companies like Amazon and such. Doing everything myself was a good learning opportunity though. (This turned out to be more of a personal revelation/gentle hint to those who have the ears to hear, than just a reply to what you wrote).
I will try to give more/better feedback to your work.

Freya, Kelta, Borg
I don't think Frya's hair should be like that. Fine/thin, light blond hair is usually straight and flexible rather than going all directions, in my experience. Her eyes/facial expression seems more melancholic than powerful. What if she would stand straight and the lying lion at her feet would look up to her (waiting for instructions)?
Kelta is great. Her fanaticism is tangible.
Interesting idea to make a burg styled after a starfort like that. I had not seen it that way yet.
