This is indeed the kind of feedback I missed. Because I don’t know enough or can get lost in my interpretations.
The wild hair and cat-headwear were insipred by Xiwangmu, and a thought of an acient godess who would be a bit more ‘wild’ pagan. Dionysian greek mixed with Athena. The wildness being the unruleable, free spirit, connection with nature, the ‘flow’. To me Freya is mother of Europe, godess of all types of love; eros, filios and agape, but also protection and vigilance. Willbett I believe relates to Freya/love. Will= Love, strength, foresight, selfknowledge(Ishtar who may have the same root in deep history became more whoreish demanding and conniving in my opinion)
So I gave one Freya eggs and put the swan in a defencemode next to the other Freya, and hint at those wings on Freya.
Because maybe that is where the image of angels came from - Luthers swan may have been a hint toward people who still knew of swans connected to Freya, making it a rallying call.
The girl with the lion is indeed more sensual, Aphrodite/Dionisian, less godlike, but it just pops in my head and I draw just for the fun of it too. I think this looseness helps to reach something museum worthy; I imagine it done in a “Rembrand/Rubens’ style for instance, lot of brown tints and seductive curves. I’m mixing all this stuff up, intentionally to find more, and have a playingfield artistically, and will bring out something truely recognisable as the real holy mother, I hope.
Though I agree designing a bookcover should be done conservatively, and look dignified.
I will make new versions of everything for some time untill excellence appears. I’m not really a businesstype myself either, I just want there to spring some sort of (religious/cultural)community from this(imagine a Freya school for freya girls, protected from the crazyness, or international exchange of Freya students to meet a mate, like european girls used to travel to marry back then, and in Neanderthal culture before)
So working together through the stichting could make more fysical things happen in the future, prehaps. although I also hope to make some money honestly.
For instance, I’m thinking of making an idol/multiple idols, kind of 3d printed by a friend and it wiil probably look best if it’s a ‘simple’ medieaval Maria style figurine, or Ny-Hellenia. The german video was very inspiring for this, with the cloak, or 3, or 7 maidens, depicting 7 virtues/pleiades) just a few things like the Yul make her into Freya in a very holy and old timey European way.
