The first one seems to be more classical than the other, with somewhat of a roman-fresco or byzantine-icon feel to it. Minerva seems to be more motherly in that one as well, as the eggs being clutched seem like a bump of forthcoming child. The other strikes me more as a nordic or abstract sketch, closer to a wood carving or stone carving, perhaps a tabestry even would have the same work. I like that one better myself, though as one quite at home in the Christian tradition for a long while, the first does catch my eye in a way that only home does.
