Question for the Frisians on this forum

I've been thinking about the pronunciation of Friesland or fryslan as the 'Fries' sounds very similar to to the English free. So my question is, should I think of Friesland as 'free's land' or the land of the free or the free land, or should I stick to Fryasland: Frya's land or land of the free mother. I suppose it's mostly the same, but I'm just wondering what Ott thinks about this.

I think Fryasland can easily have changed into Friesland.
Fryasland can indeed be understood in various ways: Frya's land, land of the free-folk or land of Frya's folk/children.
Associations with fresh (fris) and freeze (vriezen) will probably always have been around as well.

I'm trying to find out how to pronounce all the words in oera Linda. Some letters are not so obvious to me, like the V or the Y. My speculation to make my own reading easy, is to pronounce the V as joe or U as in double u(w), and to pronounce the Y as ie. What are your thoughts?

The other letters I don't understand, are the E and the other e. What kind of sound do you think the second e is? Maybe éuh or é-oe

If you read the text like this, it sounds kind of like danish.
