Consciousness and asking for help, and Fryslân

1. When great is the need, and good counsel and good deed no longer avail, then call upon the spirit of Wralda.[3] But you must not call upon him before everything has been tried, for I tell you with good reason, and time shall prove: Those who lack courage shall always collapse under the burden of their own suffering.
I want to discuss a very important part of the codex for myself. As this part of the text relates to something I've seen myself do in my own life. As I grew up, going to a christian school, there was talk of Jesus walking on water, and Jesus being able to do this because his believe was so strong. And so I've seen myself do the same a couple of times, always immediately ending in disaster. Believing in something so strongly, wanting something to be true almost in despair. I'm sure some will relate to these sorts of experiences.

But to me these failed attempts of believe, indicate a very fundamental truth, of our limited bodies and their relation to consciousness. Not that consciousness isn't important, like some I grew up with have come to believe, the do EVERYTHING yourself-ers. Those people have also come to 'hate' their life and the world. But also not that consciousness is all-powerful like most christians or law-of-attraction people believe.

In my own experience, consciousness is very clearly, only linked to your own brain and feelings. As consciousness seems to be able to predict with 100% accuracy when a feeling or thought will be activated in the future. But only those feelings and thoughts that already exist inside you brain, and are of great importance. Like many experiences I have had, synchronicities, knowing when a lover texts me or shows her face, these are few of many examples in my own life.

And so consciousness has no relation to the physical world, but only to how you will experience said physical world, in relation to how you have experienced the physical world in the past.

Channeling therefore will almost always be nonsense, as you have not experienced that knowledge, or might never in the future. Although I have myself sometimes experienced this phenomena of 'channeling' or knowing beforehand, what I was going to know, but these are always linked to strong emotions and things I already know, and always totally useless information beforehand also.

Now more importantly I've come to know a frisian girl, who I read this passage to. And she told me about, how her mother told her to: first try it yourself, than ask others for help, and then if all else fails, ask Jesus for help. As she grew up christian, I expected her to share the christian believe of always asking Jesus. But no, she and the frisians I've come to know, do things on their own, without the help of consciousness first, always. How strange that this believe is lost among everyone else I know. Even though it's so clearly and experientially true and good.

This, in my opinion is one of the most fundamental changes in society, brought about by christianity. And how we have lost connection with reality on both sides of the spectrum, the do everything yourself-ers on the left and the law of attraction people on the right. Codex oera linda shows there is a path in the middle, trust in experience, authority and rules, especially if the rules are not applicable to your own life, and trust in wr.alda's spirit when it comes to important life choices, your own path.

To me this opens up endless discussion about so many different facets of our lives. I will add one more example: There is a frisian rule of never diving in undeep water, very strongly ingrained in frisians. Now why is that, as everyone is free to decide most things on there own? The reason was clear, because there might be children watching, who don't have the experience I do with diving,(and consciousness), who might, will replicate me. Maybe not immediately, but they will, and children have died doing so in the past. So There a very strong and good rule, based on the experience of many people. I have come to accept this rule, even though my consciousness didn't care, and told me it would be fun to dive.

Fryslân seems to be filled with these sorts of experiential rules!

I believe the reluctance to prayer demonstrates our ancestors understanding of God, Minerva / Nyhellenia mentions in her dialogues with the priests that Wralda cannot be any 'more good' than he already is. How can this be in agreement with the notion that Wralda's spirit can provide some (seemingly withheld?) aid after repeated attempts? I suspect that invoking Wralda in the context of needing help has less to do with Wralda acting - he already 'acts' to his fullest extent according to his nature - but rather the increasing of ones will / power through understanding God. For example, when Adela claimed Wralda would aid whoever would step up to help the children on the peat fire (95.20 - Lay of Adela), the only thing that happened was the courage of Adela and the surrounding people were bolstered, IE their will to act was increased.

Our ancestors believed first and foremost in action, and that prayer is supplementary to bolster / enchant action, and the power of prayer came from knowledge of God (or a philosophical understanding of your place within the world / Wralda).

The more I get into philosophy, specifically German idealism, the more I begin to see the same patterns of thinking emerge again and again. I will have to do a deep dive post soon.
