In ancient Norse culture, the constellation Orion was known as Freya's Gown, and its belt was called Freya's Girdle. The oldest known Aryan calendar to be discovered is from the Vučedol culture, and a ring associated with this calendar was unearthed in a dig (ref 1). This calendar is the same one described in the Oera Linda Book(ref 2), linking the ring to Freya. Now, we understand the origins of the Norse teaching that the Orion constellation was connected to Freya, predating the worship of Odin, just as the Oera Linda Book describes.
