Hello OLB'ers,
Jan might have said something about this in one of the podcasts, and if so, it's difficult to find this particular topic again. So I wanted to ask here, since I couldn't find another topic related to this on this forum - though it might have been discussed somewhere.
One of the arguments that Jensma puts forward against the authenticity of the OLB concerns the paper on which the OLB was written. The OLB is said to be an old document, inherited over many generations. But according to him, the paper has been treated with tea to make it look old. And the paper is made with wood fibers, which indicates a technique that was only used around 1850.
These sound like genuine arguments against the OLB's authenticity, so I'm hoping to hear what you guys make of this.
All the best,
Hille

Re: OLB and the paper it's written on
As I recxecently posted on X/Twitter in a hoax-theory refuntation thread:
An apparently ambitious investigation (2006-’11) by a specialised research team, assisted by 7 specialists from various institutions (Tresoar, RUG/KNAW, NFI, RCE, the National Archives and a paper analysis lab) did not lead to publication of final results, as had been announced. Beforehand they assumed Jensma was right and that the paper had to be from pre-19th century, as that would have been established in 1870s. But the 1870s waterlines argument was invalid, as medieval Spanish-Arab paper has them too. Even if the paper would be modern, however, its content can still be authentic.
Details on blog “Saved from the Flood”: The Oera Linda paper research fail.

Hello Jan!
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Very much appreciated
I feel like we need those preliminary results, or even the results they were planning to publish around 2013! You have not yet been able to get your hands on one of those results I suppose? And when's the last time you tried to contact them?
Groetnis,
Hille
