Thanks for accepting me to this forum
So I will introduce myself
I am a middle aged man (40yrs) from the Netherlands
As a child I grew up in Friesland so i can understand a little of that language, but I speak Dutch
I have a Frisian name, a little related to this username
By the way I think Frisian names can reveal something to us - I find that a lot of them almost sound Greek to me, so Frisia was not isolated at all
My main area of interest is in natural philosophy
And I think the ancients had much understanding of this subject, of how the world works
they did not have many tools, but they had keen logic and intuïtion, and deep symbology that we do not explain very well nowadays
I had my own epiphanies when i was 13yrs old, about how everything is made because of yin and yang, but I had a lot of insights that i could not express exactly in words, that came later by maturing and by reading
I like to reverse engineer the things ancients knew, and that we have lost
I think they understood many things, also for example that every sound has an influence and a meaning, and therefore language is very important, up to the letters that make up the words.
In a lot of ways we have degraded as time progressed, we became more detached and less intelligent than the ones before us, but history is filled with ups and downs, humanity has always been a struggle between good and bad, and it is interesting to see how that could have happened.
Also I think there is more continuïty in history than we currently believe, making the same mistakes countless of times
It is very fascinating to read the oera linda and how much the culture and religion are so strikingly similar to what we still have today in the west. For example we always struggled with religions: we never were christians, we never were pagans, but neither were we atheistic, it has always been a struggle to keep our identity aligned not to a religion and its priests, but to an all encompassing concept, the creator of the world Wralda.
I see so much in the oera linda book, it can not be a forgery
I hope i can post about things I encounter in the oera linda or other information, for which i think that coincidence does not apply
